Received several Text Relay calls from i770.com lately. This is a legitamate service for the hearing impaired that is being abused by scam artists, prisioners, as well as pranksters.
In most cases they offer “payment” for more than the asking price, with a request for the mark to send them the balance as a refund (an example of the 419 fraud, which is commonly committed via email and is named after the section of the Nigerian legal code that outlaws it).
The only way to fight against the scammers is by educating everyone on this issue.
